Well, if we're talking about hype, Jeremy Lin isn't even second team all NBA. You know the media is jumping on the latest fad, and Lin was two straight weeks on the cover of SI. Was really hoping for the jinx to kick in on him injury wise, but once the Broncos start OTA's, we'll be back to 24 hours of Tebow and Elway.

the turnovers came up in a big way when he got "exposed" against miami, and it's mentioned in nearly every intelligent article dissecting his game that i've read (it mostly got brushed aside by SC during the win streak, but that's SC). he's also a pretty shitty defender, which doesn't get mentioned
all i'm saying is there a number of factors contributing to the hype, it's not just new york, it's not just that he's asian, it's a bunch of things. and that espn and others get carried away with it shouldn't dictate how people process the story, especially if the flipside is not likely to bring the same complaints. i mean, if none of this happened, the knicks would be 11-25 or something and melo and amare would be the reincarnation of starbury and a number of awful knick acquisitions over the years. and people would eat it up (in between talk about the heat/dwight/lob city)

agreed and it cant be mentioned enough...its something that will be exposed much more in the playoffs where every possesion counts...your man can run by you five or six times in february against charlotte and its not a big deal....you can also turn the ball over seven or eight times in the cold months....but both of these things will not be ignored in the post season

Lebron basically had about as perfect of a game as humanly possible. He definitely should have taken the final shot, but he got Haslem a wide open look, he should have knocked it down. 16-24, 35 pts, 10 boards, 6 dimes, 3 blocks, 0 TOs.
