I think our buffchick was the best of the three, the chesapeake was too busy and the grilled was too healthy to be acceptable. The sriracha was a good touch though.

I have to agree that Chad (my fav) and brazil were awesome. Not getting the cranberries mixed in a great sandwich was disappointing to read. Much like keegs, wiscy took a chance (going out of season). However, from a judging perspective, perhaps wiscy should have taken keegs picture and keegs should have taken wiscy's.

im sorry its horseshit when judges are talking about the beer and chips included in the picture, that was not at all part of the competition. The picture was supposed to show the sandwich at its best and in all its glory and the judges attention shouldn't be drawn from the SANDWICH by goddamn chips, pickle spears and IPAs

It was really tough to decide the rankings. I strictly followed the way the categories were defined, which sucked because some of the better sandwiches had terrible photos.

I will also out myself as a judge.
The vast majority of teams really impressed me with their effort, except Russia. The other 9 were most definitely edible- and most looked quite tasty. Good job teams.
I am happy to discuss my rankings, but as indy said, this was tough to judge.

It's largely a photo competition, not a tasting competition. Of course plating counts. It counts in real/TV cooking competitions too.
