Well, for one, it has him as more conservative that I am -- which is laughable.

Economically, I think Obama is the largest proponent of state intervention in the economy that we have ever had as president. Where exactly that puts him on the scale, I don't know, but even accounting for the fact that American liberals are more economically rightist than many leftist movements worldwide, I don't think it's a stretch to say Obama should be in the left half-plane.

I am less clear on his social authoritarianism vs. libertarianism.
