  • I'm 59.5 next month. Retirement?

  • I've passed my CPA, so career wise it's just seeing how long I can stand the Big 4. Probably buying a house in about a year though so that's something.

  • Pretty much death at this point.

  • My next one will be in about 3 years when my oldest starts kindergarten. I'm guessing the next few milestones will be more the kids than me.

    Scuttle UM

  • I'm about to graduate and start a career. This has been my goal for a long time. After that, I really have no idea.

Maybe I'll get rich. Who knows.

The adventure has just begun. If it's a girl you can look forward to walking her down the aisle.

  • Graduate Lawschool, get the **** off the east coast, and then my wife and I see where life takes us. I've spent the last six years worrying about the unknown that faces me. It wasn't until I had that eye injury that I realized that life is a continuous adventure. I can throw different variables at it, but for the most part, what happens is out of my control. I'm making it a point to relax and enjoy the unknown that awaits.

  • I was looking for a marriage/engagement related thread and came upon this and it seems like a Suque prediction thread to an extent. How is everyone doing 1 year later? The reason I bring this up is I would like to find the guy who started the tradition of getting a girl an engagement ring and have him explain to me why that was a good idea, and how much has changed since then? I mean, I love the finacee, but Goddamn if that over the top expense hasn't upped the tension. I am currently locked out of my bedroom because I did not want to write a "blurb" about us on our "wedding page." I thought when I told her I did not care anything about the wedding other than the people I wanted to be there, being there, that she would be thrilled and take the reigns and do whatever girls dream of doing. Now she comes to me with the bitch duties and I get annoyed. I believe I am trying to be rational in an irrational situation, but i know many of my Suque friends have "been there" so tell I am wasting time and this is normal. kthnxbye.

    SLT - discretion is appreciated.

*ok not going to happen, see 1st line

interesting to see this a year later. had the kid! (little sean, now 8 months old and awesome) broke par in a tournament (shot 69 at falls road). still haven't bought the house (worst process ever). still like to drink beers on thursdays and read threads on the message board

Worst process ever aside, the house still has to be the least of the accomplishments in that list, right? Congrats on the others. I used to play a lot in college and was low 80s and damn proud, so a 69 is as good as, well, as a 69.

Edit to say "least" as in easiest to endure/accomplish

my next big milestone is applying to law school as well- I'm taking the LSATs in june and applying in the fall. more than a little nerve racking

I'm still on the law school path. I've been accepted to several schools, just trying to figure out where I want to live, what I want to practice, scholarships/debt and the like.

ha. sent that link to my wife. fortunately for society we don't chew his food. we hope he'll be a productive member of society

7erps: yes, the house is by miles the least important of the three to me. buying a house is just stroking a check and it won't actually have much impact on my life. having a kid is awesome, and meeting a personal goal is pretty awesome too.

  • My next milestone is to FINALLY getting a degree after 15 years of on and off schooling. Next May, if I can handle 3 more semesters of 12 hours of school each and 50+ hours of work and whatever time I can spare into my start-up. I can taste burn-out creeping up on me...just hoping I can stave it off for another year.

I also got invited to Beta Gamma Sigma. Yay.
