My GF and I did 4 nights in St Thomas for $660 each. That was all-inclusive, even airfare. Spent maybe 200 tops while we were there. I think it was the Weston that we stayed at. It wasn't spectacular, but it was an unbelievable bargain.

link to the hotel website? that seems too good to be true.

    no timeshare videos or anything?

Not necessairly. You can usually get your refund in a week or two of sending in your forms.

Yeah I should be getting my refund in a week or two. I e-filed with direct deposit so it doesnt take very long to recieve the money. Destin looks really nice but the average temp for February-March is a bit to chilly. Ill keep it in mind for a summer vacation though.

  • If you're a Costco member, check out some of their Caribbean/Mexico deals. Often include airfare, and they have plenty of options across a range of budgets.

  • It wasn't through the hotel. I think it was bookit.com. The third party sites will always have those deals like "4 nights in St Thomas from 659!" and then you look for your dates and its 1200. Our dates, about a month before we traveled, happen to be the cheap ones. St Thomas is a legit easy destination. Plane isn't too long and you don't need a passport. Weather is legit year round except for hurricane season.

I looked into St. Thomas so many times and it was never at that price. That deal you got was amazing.

  • Culebra PR has the nicest beaches I've seen plus, once you swim about 50 feet out, you're in the middle of awesome coral reefs. It's gorgeous. The town lacks much attraction, but it's authentic. It's also pretty cheap.

...w/the added distinction of being able to headline in one of CongoTerp's diezens board entries.
