Walking Dead....

  • Yeah, I get that there should be a lot more talk/concern about zombies from the characters and most of them should be exhibiting PTSD, but STFU. If you know about shake-ups in the writers' bullpen, you're over analyzing the show.

Back to the show. I hope they never find the girl. I love the idea of leaving it open-ended, and the characters have to make a tough decision. That and I hope the Asian guy learns to ride a horse, only to have it eaten from under him by zombies.

  • They already pulled the "eat the horse out from under you" bit in the very first episode.

That was a good 1/2 hour of reading, what with the thoughtful comments and links - thanks!

Oh they can go back to that well. That well is deep. With zombies at the bottom.

If only that 'rescue' from the well had worked. They could have drunk from it again. wtf.

I was surprised by the comments; clearly I am way behind in post apolyptic theory

  • My friend made a good point about the pregnancy thing. When the CDC building exploded the scientist whispered something to Rick. He thinks the guy told Rick that she was pregnant and it was Shanes after he looked at all the blood samples he took from everyone.

lol I don't think he can know the father from a blood sample.

Telling Rick she is pregnant is possible.

Yeah I wasn't sure that was possible.

  • There's a difference between nitpicking and pointing our obvious fIaws. I can understand that there are zombies. That is a given that I can understand. What I cannot accept is how an isoIated farm house can have Iights bIazing 24 hours a day without any expIanation of how they receive eIectricity or fresh bread or fresh miIk. That is just Iazy writing on the IeveI of Entourage, which is pathetic. They couId expIain these things in Iess than a minute yet they choose not to. It is a major failure of a show that couId be so much better.

  • They did briefly mention the generators when talking about the wells.

I automatically assume that an isolated farm like that has multiple generators. They have the auto graveyard close by to replenish their gasoline.

The challenge of firing weapons and its impact is explored much later on in the comics, but yes, it's a big deal.

  • I also need to research crossbow vs compound while factoring in cost of arrows (or can I just get a vat of zombie gut remover and re-use the arrows?)

    winterps

  • The comics are not the TV show.

Also, why can't a farm have milk? They can't have cows? Also, it's kind of dumb for a farm to have FIVE water wells like the show said, but who cares.

All this stuff is meaningless so long as there are zombies getting killed, or ripped in half and having their guts spilled all over the place pouring back into the well (that was some HOF effects work and made that whole dumb well sequence worth it).

Also, did that article complain about the farmer chick and Glenn hooking up. Who the hell complains about hot chicks getting down?

The people that bitch about this show bother me 50 times more than any of the dumb shit the show actually does.

Not really. It saves on having piping all over the place (fields have to be watered), plus given the way water draw downs from wells work, one well would be taxed to irrigate an entire farm.

    SATerp

  • I had not considered that, curse my lack of farming knowledge.

what if shane had some kind of rare blood like B-(not sure if its rare but lets pretend it is) and everyone else was A or 0 and the CDC guy found out the baby was AB. maybe that means it is definitely Shane's.

    If only this were true!

Many of Pitt's 58 "rushing attempts" were the result qb Tino Sunseri fleeing the pocket like a man whose clothes were on fire.

I hope it is true. Season 2 isn't over, someone major getting it would spice things up a bit.

He didn't test the baby's blood, though. Only Lori's. He could tell that she's preggo just by the increased hormone levels, but there's no way to establish paternity.

Yeah, the only thing that would establish paternity at this point is arithmetic.
