I understand the new rash of walkers coming through due to the change in weather as Hershel mentioned, but it was weird that we only find out but the new legion of walkers as soon as Shane dies as a walker.

That's the ugliest man I've ever seen.

It goes like this. This show is formulaic to a T. The acting can sometimes be rough. The characters are almost all extremely annoying/non-nonsensical. The writing is pretty much garbage and chockful of non-stop plotholes/isn't-that-convenient moments. I keep watching it because it's a zombie TV show, and that's a damn shame.

Walking Dead is the Greg Oden of TV shows.

Its a zombie TV drama....of course its formulaic. Here is the formula for the entiire zombie genre. Run from zombies, kill zombies, survive each other. What zombie movie/tv show is any different from this? Yes Lori is a terrible person/actor, yeah there are times when it is very drawn out. But in terms of a tv show, it is very very enjoyable and I am sticking with it. Seriously DVR it so you can skip commercials, it will probably make it a lot more barable.

I think the last several episodes have been very strong. More zombies and more killing and more death, yay!

My only problem is that not only does the story move so slooooow, there's also no character development. If you don't want me to care about the characters, don't give me 4 episodes of looking for a little girl and three episodes of how to deal with the kid from Rescue Me. Dale and Shane dying in back to back episodes would have been huge on any other show, but I really didn't care (outside of Shane being one of the people on the show who was tolerable).

I think we all get that this is just a zombie show. But there are still human charaters in it and it shouldn't be too much to ask to have the humans behave in recognizable ways. For example, Glen gets invited to share the bedroom of the daughter and he says no thanks? Really? He thinks he can do better at the bar in town? What does this bizarre, unrecognizable behavior add the the overall story? It is wierd for no apparent reason. What were the writers thinking when they decided to have the daughter make that offer and then have Glen turn her down? Pointless and senseless.

The glen-bedroom offer scene was a throwaway, needlessly reiterating the point that he is feeling insecure about his ability to protect someone close to him. It was silly and unrealistic because boning would be a great time filler in that situation.
