Normally this would come off as a bad post to me - not really any reads to be had per say with no discussion up to this point and I also don't like people claiming to not be special - you either claim special or you don't say anything at all. However, this seems like a genuine post from Da just given the way he posts, IMO.

I think Da was screwed where ever he placed his vote.

If he throws it away he gets called out for still being able to self-preserve.

It still comes off as a bad post to me. But dxl is right- da's move there is going to look shady no matter what.

For what its worth, I am playing diplo with Shiny and he hasn't returned any of my messages this morning - so there is a chance he isn't here. Or he just doesn't like me.

It wouldn't be worth voting him off if he can't defend himself.

Da putting his vote anywhere other than Shiny would come off bad. "Self Preserving" does not seem relevant to me with significant time left in a round. That vote doesn't preserve anything unless it comes in at the last minute and saves him - which is what he could do if he voted for someone else there.

DXL calls out knight and smiley and then they both show up. Knight, at least, showed up with a good post. Two fluff posts from smiley.

I did that to get discussion going, and that's what happened. As someone pointed out there have been plenty of people with one word posts. I also voted for raise, then switched to Da until his post. I have not switched yet but there is time left in the round, I wanted to see what else would come out of the discussion.

As mafia, why would I go out of my way to bring this attention on myself? I always lay low in early rounds unless I am getting heat, both as civ and mafia. So your analysis, as usual, is incorrect.

What about DA and Shiny leads you to believe that they are more likely to be mafia than 7erps?

I didn't buy into his analysis, I just had the same thought on 7erps and hadn't realized that he had stuck with his vote on DA.

I don't think either DA or Shiny have done anything that makes them look likely to be mafia. We don't have that much to go on, but what I have seen from 7erps makes him look more suspicious than either of the guys who are currently in the lead.

I never said that, I was simply stating I don't agree with Knight necessarily about 7erps posts being fluff.
