There was one scene that cracked me up. Those that saw it probably know what i'm talking about. But I won't spoil it for the others.

I just saw it. It was great. I didn't like the horror film treatment off one of the characters.

Fassbender and McAvoy make it a legit ass movie. Their personal dynamic makes the movie.

Just got back, great film. Fassbender as Magneto is a perfect choice, he really channels his angst and rage well on screen.

saw Thor yesterday - I liked X-men quite a bit better. Natalie Portman was just fucking annoying. Star Wars level annoying.

Saw xmen yesterday and enjoyed it better than I thought.
really liked the actor that played the young prof. x. Magneto was pretty good as well. Kevin Bacon for a "name" actor does not deliver like one, but he is passable.
Many of Pitt's 58 "rushing attempts" were the result qb Tino Sunseri fleeing the pocket like a man whose clothes were on fire.

Was planning on skipping this because I was disappointed with X3 and Wolverine but went today and it was one of my favorites in this genre, probably only behind Dark Knight as my favorite comic book movies.
Fassbender, Lawrence and McAvoy made this movie, such good actors. I also now completely understand the hate for January Jones now.

Really, really good movie but HOLY SHIT BALLS January Jones is an awful, awful actress. I mean, its great that she has huge boobs and a 20 inch waste but Good God.

First Class was so much better than the previous three installments of X-Men, which just seem LOL bad now. It's amazing to see the standard that Dark Knight has set in terms of writing, music, and cinematography, and how much better super hero movies are than now they were just five years ago.

LOL when Shaw comes in and says his line about mutants joining him or becoming slaves they IMMEDIATELY go to Darwin's, the only black guy in the fucking movie, face. THEN he dies literally 1 minute later!!! I thought it was hilarious in a "They cannot be serious" kind of way.

Yep. She was awful in this and even worse in Unknown.
Sort of surprised me because I actually think she does a good job in Mad Men in regards to making me want to strangle someone through the screen. So far her acting ability certainly hasn't translated to movies well.

I think the character in Mad Men happens to fit perfectly with exactly what January Jones does well (act aloof, cold, emotionless, with snaps of bitchiness).
Anyway, a not good review of Green Lantern (small spoilers towards the end):

Just saw First Class, liked it a lot. Xavier and Magneto were both awesome. Kevin Bacon was really good as a villain I thought.
Mystique was so hot when she wasn't blue. Like so hot. Beast's complete inability to convert frustrated the hell out of me.
Also, is it just me or does James McAvoy look a lot like Zach Braff? Like a lot, it was borderline distracting.

Saw Green Lantern Friday, and it really paled next to First Class. Blake Lively was awful and the pacing was terrible in the first half of the movie. It was more like Thor in how it set up the GL universe and introduced the mythology, but man, did it take forever to get to any real sort of action.

Green Latern didn't do very well. Made less than Xmen but cost a lot more (announced budget of 200 million).
