I was about to post some of the graphics but a couple beat me to the ones I was going to post. Seriously and possibly deadly situation. Bmore-DC corridor is ground zero, but areas from Central/Eastern PA down to parts of NC should still be on alert.

If you see the sky turn an odd shade of green, take cover. Been through many tornadoes in Cincy growing up, it will scare the living shit out of you. Everyone needs to pay attention this afternoon.

Lets hope one lands on Rangoon.

I doubt that flight gets out. Tons of flights will be cancelled. The green sky thing is a myth by the way.

In addition to the tornado watch already posted above, another has been issue for all of Central MD, VA and basically all of the Eastern Shore except right near OC. The entire state is essentially under a tornado watch.

Sun is starting to peak out to help fuel the storms, and the radar is really impressive right now. HM just tweeted that storms south of DC appear to be turning into super cells with rotation, so expect some warnings on those.

Also worth noting is a line of strong storms out to the west down in Ohio and Kentucky/Tennessee. That will eventually push east and through us tonight. The line is expected to be very strong when it comes through and bring some very strong straightline winds. Very, very interesting day of weather and extremely rare for here, but I'd rather this go away and hit someone else. This could end very badly for such a populated area if things come together.
