I figured all the dessert makers were effed....surprising to see the entrees are what suffered the most (save those cigar dolmades).

I havent watched any of them but what I think happens is starting with the first 2 weeks the eliminated chefs competed against eachother and the chef that won got to stay and then competes against the next chef who is eliminated. This continues until the finale when the chef who has outlasted all of the eliminated chefs gets to compete with the remaining chefs and could potentially win the competition.
