Everytime I see one of those retirement investing commercials (Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Morgan Stanley) featuring those smug babyboomers, I just want to punch them in the face. Also GTFO with not being able to get a boner without drugs.

I never really understood the term "the greatest generation". Was it because the women went to work in WW2? They all pulled together in time of need? It just doesn't seem like it was all that great if you were a minority living in the south.
"The drummer for Maryland's pep band just freaked out: 'They're trying to slow the game down,' he screamed. 'Get up on them, get up on them.

This whole generation thing is just dumb. People are people, and they play the hand they are dealt. It's not like if you took all the people who were born in 1920 and jumped them ahead to 1950, then we'd all have saved for our retirement and not be upside-down on mortgages today.
The baby boomers were exceptionally lucky about when and where in history they were born. They sucked that well pretty much bone dry, no doubt about it. But you would have too if you'd been there.

The "Greatest Generation" really did rule. They grew up through The Depression and then once that was over they weren't like, "Thank God thats over. Lets get back to buying shit we don't need, drinking, and watching baseball." Instead they were like, "Fuck this Hitler guy, I'm signing up for the Marines. We'll make a bunch of babies when I get back, hunny. I guess just go build B-52 bombers while I'm gone."
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings... There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."

It's great. The Gen Y'ers are complaining about the Baby Boomers who are buying them houses and paying their credit card and cell phone bills while they live at home because they haven't been offered a job that is worthy of their enormous talents.
Awesome.
