This is the correct answer - I live 10 minutes from the one off Bustleton and go a couple of times a month - definitely best of the standalone steak joints.

  • btw still need most of the submissions from the other page and I wanna get most/all of it filled out before Thursday night as I leave for vacation Friday after work

    Totally concur.

Getting ready to board a long flight and will put together a master list of my faves. It's either that or watch The Artist or do work stuff.

Probably more North than NE, but I live the other way down Cottman in Elkins Park, on the street where McKinleys Pub is.

You are over near one of my favorite pubs, Grey Lodge - love that place.

  • Haha, yeah I used to travel with a guy for work who had a pretty popular food blog. Dude dragged me everywhere which was cool. He took the blog down but we still share a document that has over 700 places in it from a bunch of years. Gladly I am off the road for the most part now.

ZGT - cool that you like Nick's in Beverly. First time I really drove through the North Shore I couldnt believe the amount of roast beef shops. My buddy tried to go there a few weeks ago and couldnt get in the place that day.

Bon Fresco in Columbia is very good. Try the london broil, chicken breast or prosciutto.

Had it for lunch today. Very good. I didn't see the London Broil on the menu until after I ordered, but the italian was great.

Bonus: Saw a 7' suquer there.

  • Went to marchone's today for the first time since prob '96 and ordered the italian sub. Not quite what i remembered. Nothing special.

Now, the italian at stachowski market - that is special.
