Most places the renter provides their own lock. So yes, bolt cutters are often used.

Love this show, since I don't get Tru TV on my cable (wtf) anymore. But what is with their estimates of how much they made? I don't suppose you could audit their books to check, but sometimes they're mighty generous with their self estimates. Barry is me, if I had personality.
And did you catch the episode with the interloper "millionaire" who always raises bids over what they're worth, when he was going over his 'winnings'? "Yeah this piece of ripped paper, you could get ten dollars for that." When he estimates that game console at $13k, and Darrell calls him on it, it turns out to not work and be $10 at best, pure hilarity.
And yes, Brandi is sweet. Why she stays with that idiot Jarrod is beyond me.

Check out Storage Hunters on TruTV.....pretty awesome since the auctioneer rags on the bidders and that fights break out once in a while.
The best scene in the show so far:
(Bidding on a storage unit between a large black woman and a fairly large Hispanic guy)
Large black woman: 475
Fairly large Hispanic guy: He wanted to know what you are going to bid, not what you weigh
Large black woman: Oh no you didn't
Yeah! Crab cakes and aids! That's what Maryland does!

There's a new show called "Flipped Off" starting on A & E Saturday. The old 'flip a house' shows were kind of predictable/boring before the real estate crash, because even the biggest morons could flip a house and make money. But in this market, I bet it's more like ten starving people fighting over a chicken wing - and let's face it, that makes GREAT TV. Plus, it looks like the people on it are still morons.

If you're Facebook friends with me, I put a picture of us up there (made especially sweet because I'm wearing an actual racing team's crew shirt), but here's one with a cop who came over for a pic while we were talking. At one point, a few of Joey Logano's over-the-wall guys (tire changers, gas guys - all in fire suits) ran over for pictures with him DURING THE RACE. That's how cool he is.
