How difficult could it be? Log in with your screen name, vote, log out. Instead of making people scroll through the entire thread and tabulate the results themselves it would take 5 seconds.
No lies, no "miskalkulated" vote counts, severe reduction in trolling practices, immediate results.
It would save 247sports hundreds of frustrated users and I guarantee more than 40% of eligible posters participate.
Don't have the best and/or brightest to get it done? Go to your local library/school and ask an "Introduction to Computer Programming" student if he has half an hour to spare.

You can do GIFs, you just have to save them to your computer and then upload from there. Certainly ass-backwards and annoying, but doable.

I think there's still a size limit on gifs, though....so, no interesting gifs, please.
