I do not get the hype w/ this place at all.

I'm sure I'm super late to the party, but I went to the H street Beer garden a few months ago. Holy cow that place is awesome. I can't wait until the summer to go there

That's what I've been saying for the past year. I stopped going there after I got harassed on one of the side streets. Even with 50 cops in Adams Morgan, no chance a cop would have seen me. Plus, you know there is something wrong with an area when someone offers you their beer at 3 AM on a sidewalk. That is so disgusting, you don't know where the dudes mouth has been.

u street, as you are unfamiliar with it, was the traditional center of african american music and culture in the US. as a result, everywhere is black-friendly. as tiffles said, Nellie's is especially friendly for people of your ilk.
