A good friend of mine bartens at Sutra, so I go there to pregame. Used to go to McNasty's (the same people who owned Turtle), but the person who I knew there recently quit.
And yea, that construction is a nightmare. Saw a pretty good fight in the middle of the street Saturday night.

I went to Fast Gourmet today based on this thread and wasn't disappointed. she had the cubano, I had the steak and cheese. Only complaint was I asked them to nix something I'm allergic to and they put it on anyways.

yeah, bodegas sell 18-packs at best. and it's not worth dealing with the crowds at giant or target just for a case of beer, either.
at more than one liquor store i've asked for a handle, and the person at the liquor store had no idea wtf i was talking about. bitch, you work at a liquor store. it's the big bottle.
I will say the Lion's Liquors renovation looks amazing. hopefully it's cheap.
