    I'm back in Md at UMD, there is a 24 hour Mexican place on NE Lombard down past that Fred Myer. Its pretty good food but if nothing else strolling in that place at 3 in the morning in a serious hazard to your health, check it out! Hope Portland is treating you well, I really miss that place.

    24 hour...are you talking about a Muchas Gracias? Don't get up that way very often since I moved to the southeast but I was at Tom's Pizza for a Terps game a couple weeks ago.

    Doing good out here especially with La Nina really starting to dump snow on Hood. Moved into a really nice house on Powell with the GF. Still Blows my mind that you can get a one bedroom HOUSE out here and not just live in some shitty high rise. Shoot me a PM (wink) if you're ever passing back through on your way to maneuvers or something on the coast.

  • When did chipotle change from green to red peppers in the fajita burrito? Also, the guy in front of me asked for "peppers only," so the girl had to pick peppers out of the peppers/onion mix.

    I went tonight in CP and I am pretty sure that the peppers they had were green. Also, those people are among the worst people on Earth. He probably did it with a straight face as if he did nothing wrong. Those people are one small step above the people who talk in the movie theater.

  • Was at the one in CP about an hour ago. I stopped getting rice in my burrito, for some reason the cilantro is just too much for me. I used to get it mixed up back in the day but I realized it really doesn't matter, whenever i see people get theirs mixed up it always ends up looking like a sour cream smoothie. Burrito- black beans, chicken - barbacoa, veggies, mild, medium, corn and lettuce.

  • I think having it mixed up should be standard. Getting a bite of just rice is lame.

    I've also noticed the white corn and I thought that the peppers were always green, but I rarely get them so my memory could be off.

    They just opened a new location in the Can Company in Canton. It's relatively small but really clean and I know the owner sort of third hand which is nice.

    I'm not sure if we're going to be talking about the same thing, but at my Chipotle about a month ago the peppers looked like they switched to sweet peppers. They looked orange at least, and I was not about to reward Chipotle for changing from a reliable formula.

  • How does everyone here feel about ordering a bowl and getting the tortilla on the side? I feel that you forfeit the tortilla if you order a bowl, but I have seen numerous people ask for it anyway.

    Probably a seasonal thing. They change their corn depending on the season.

    I'm fine with people getting a bowl and a tortilla and putting some of the burrito filling on a bite size piece of tortilla.

  • Today is National Burrito Day apparently. Not sure if Chipotle is doing anything, but Lime Fresh is having buy one get one half price. Never been there but it looks good.

    I went to the one in Arlington before I moved and it was Ok. Took a while for our order to come out, they don't (at least at that location) make it right there in front of you.

  • I dated a girl when I went to MD that worked at Cal Tor, so I sampled just about everything on the menu for free. And I pretty much never found anything I liked. That place is absolute trash.

    Chipotle forever.

    There's a Lime in CP now where CalTor used to be. It's ok. I haven't had their burritos but everyone I know who has says they're just mediocre. Their quesadillas are ok but could be better.

    Their sell is everything comes with chips and they have this huge salsa bar thing.

  • CalTort and Chipotle really aren't the same style at all. There's definitely room for both.

    I love the Crunchy BBQ Ranch burrito, though now I usually just get a Southwestern Salad.
