This is kind of a noob question, but when you have beers that you want to keep for a while(I'm thinking seasonal?

I'm not really talking about aging beers per se, but rather keeping limited run beers on hand for later in the year. Like if there are some beers available only in late summer early fall that I want around for winter. How should I store them, in the fridge or in a closet or in some other way?

I know its not very exotic or hard to find but I really like Sam Adams Octoberfest. The taste reminds me of some of the local ales you can get in the Cotswolds region of England.

Sam Adams oktoberfest becomes my "everyday" beer during the fall. I like it. It's flavorful without being too heavy.

Harpoon's Winter Warmer is a fantastic winter seasonal.

I too think the Sam Adams Oktoberfest beer is fantastic. In fact, I think it's one of the better Oktoberfest beers out there, even better than some of the German imports. I'll probably get slammed for this, but I think German beers are overrated. That's not to say they're bad, but they're predictable. One day I'll have to get to Germany and try them a little closer to the source.

The discussion of "wet hops" got me interested in the style, and apparently now is when they become available. I recently picked up the following:

Heavy Handed - Two Brothers Brewery
Harvest Ale - Founders Brewery
Estate Homegrown Ale - Sierra Nevada

The first one drank more like an amber, similar in taste to the Hopback made by Troegs, which I'm not a big fan of. Likely won't be back for another six. Decent, but not what I'm looking for in an IPA.

The Harvest ale, however, delivered the aggressive and delicious hopness as advertised. Pretty good effort, and I will be back for more (4-packs for this one).

I haven't Tried the Sierra Nevada yet, but am expecting good things.

Also, the Dogfish Head interpretation of their collaborative Saison du Buff is now available. It's less spicy than the Stone version, like an older, more mild-mannered version. Still good, but I prefer the Stone version. Victory version still TBD.

Any opinions on Lagunitas Brown Shugga'? Apparently it is a sweet strong ale with a 9.99 ABV so is a close cousin to barleywine. As I have been loving Old Horizontal lately and have a very good opinion of Lagunitas, I just picked up a couple six packs and can't wait to start sucking them down

Bell's Third Coast Ale is one of the best barleywines I've sampled.

The bitterness of the finish surprised me and struck me more strongly than the sweetness. I found it a bit disappointing overall - my expectations were too high as I was looking for another limited release Lagunitas miracle to match the Undercover. I'll nevertheless enjoy the rest of them

After a few more Brown Shuggas, I have reconsidered and now do consider it another Lagunitas miracle, especially at 8.99
I need to go pick up a case or two while I can

Just had this stuff a week or so ago out of a tap and I liked it. Not a fan of sweet beers and I thought it was pretty mild.

I also had a bottle of Duvel's tripel blonde this week. I think it's a special release? Didn't really care for it at all. At first I thought it might be the glass I was using but it just turned out I didn't like it. Surprising since I like their regular stuff quite a bit.
