Just wanted to give an additional pat on the back to the dems on this board (I know they are already giving themselves one now). You guys are soooo right on gay rights, it must feel great and make all the other issues the dems can't fix go away. Talk about jobs, economy, debt, deficit, we get crickets, talk about gay rights and it's an vocal explosion of how right you guys think you are. Personally, the issue is a non factor for me in this election.

I'm not a dem but it seems to me that this is a more pragmatic discussion. I live in Maryland. No matter how I vote, Obama is getting all of Maryland's electoral vote. No matter how I vote, Ben Cardin will be my senator. No matter how I vote, Andy Harris will be my congressman. These are done deals whether I show up at my polling place or not. The ballot questions are the only relevant issues in Maryland.

And given the performance of the economy and the growth in the deficit under our last republican president it isn't clear to me what the republican party has to offer regarding these issues. When I get to the voting booth, I'm voting random 3rd party for the federal elections taking an interest in the ballot questions.

Also being called a fucking idiot by NYCterp should be viewed as an affirmation. Worry when he agrees with you or you agree with him.

Then vote yes and be done with it. Tell your (R) Congressmen and Senators and elected officials to vote yes to gay marriage and move on to important issues. Then there's no more issue.

Lol. Being from Argentina, it's widely known that the privatization of industry is what caused its downfall. The economic downfall was created due to its infrastructure privitization and zero oversight of foreign (private banks). thats why the govt. has taken over these industries recently. But whatever, American conservatives have no issue re-writing history just years after it happened. Go on, it's par for the course.

    Hey Poopheirz,

How is that government takeover of industry working out for ya?

CDS rocketing up implying 60% chance of default.
