Obviously most of XXL's freshman class is garbage but the Kendrick Lamar song is pretty nuts.

Jay Elec needs to start releasing some music instead of releasing a video about him releasing music. Until then he's getting all the acclaim he deserves in this thread...which is not much.
Interesting Vado turned down being part of the XXL freshman class cover. Cam'ron called the shots...I'd guess he knows what he's doing though.
Odd Future is iffy. It's just another hypebeast type creation. Tyler used to post on that shit all the time and still does to a lesser extent....wasn't huge on the music back then and still not. (LOL just checked to see if he still posts and he did like a week ago about meeting the Biebz!)
And Lil B can rap when he tries (to an extent). The beats he gets are off the chart...I don't understand how he gets them. (and Tyler the Creator was/probably still is all about some Lil B)

I like the new Raekwon a lot. Not great, just another solid Rae album.
I had no idea about Odd Future until Keegs told me about them. I mean, lyrically they are talented and make good songs and their aesthetic is needed now since it's challenging the status quo stale hip-hop that's everywhere, but I just don't care about nihilist skater rap. Also, if they were white, no one would care. At its core it's hipster black kids from LA doing a great version of ICP-style music.
