Just watched The Blind Side.
What a POS movie. Sandra Bullock was even more annoying than she usually is. How did this win Oscars???

Finally caved and saw Paranormal Activity. I don't get the hype. It was the most boring and least scary "scary" movie i have ever seen.

I went on a Sergio Leone kick recently, watched the entire "man with no name" trilogy, and then "Duck you Sucker" and "Once Upon a Time in America."
Once Upon a Time in America is like a jewish Godfather II. It was great except the ending is very strange. It's also almost 4 hours long.

"There Will Be Blood". Daniel Day Lewis was fantastic, as usual, but it was kind of a draggy movie (to me). The guy who played the preacher seemed like a talent - in the early part of the movie, I had no idea if he was going to pray for, or kill, somebody. Glad I saw it, but it was long.

Watched Hot Tub Time Machine.
I thought it was good, but nothing great. Definitely some lol moments though.

The lack of a search function is really f***ing annoying.
Waiting for Guffman - I just don't think any of the Christopher Guest movies are as funny as others do, I barely got through this one. I do appreciate his use of ugly/talented people instead of pretty/talented people.
Barry Lyndon - A friend says this is his favorite movie of all time. Anyone who says, "My favorite movie of all-time is..." something I've never seen I have to watch it. Good but almost too Kubricky if that makes sense.

Wild Strawberries-Really great movie. Reminded me of a mixture of Ikiru, A Christmas Carol, and It's a Wonderful Life. The famous dream sequence was great to me even though it's been copied so many times it seems cliched by now. Also hot Swedish blondes. I'm for 2-for-2 on really enjoying Bergman films, Seventh Seal being the other.

The Other Guys - Was better than I thought it was going to be but still nothing great. Essentially Anchorman and Cop Out had a baby and it was this movie.
Cyrus - Indie comedy with John C Reilly, Marisa Tomei, and Jonah Hill. Super awkward a lot of the time but had a weird sweetness about it. Much funnier than The Other Guys.

Y Tu Mama Tambien (Mexico) - great (Dude who directed this directed Children of Men)
Downfall (Germany) - anyone who is the least bit interested in WWII should see this...story of Hitler's last days in his bunker underneath Berlin as the Soviets close in. Extremely grim and surreal story.

The Wild Wonderful Whites of West Virginia
Must see if you wanna be depressed that people live like that. Almost like the white version of Pimps up Hoes Down. In that you are disgusted in what your watching but can't turn it off.
