Yep. Not only was Carter one of the worst presidents ever, he was unequivocally the least bad ass of the modern era. The guy gave national addresses sitting by a fireplace wearing a fucking Mr. Rogers sweater.
If you go back past WW2 you can probably find some less bad ass presidents though. FDR was nothing but doughy sack of polio for instance.

Was it ever established whether the qualifications were, badass in office or a lifetime of badassery?
A few of things I haven't seen mentioned:
PT109
Bush Sr. (pilot) finishing a bombing mission even though one of his engines had been hit and was on fire....he was the only member of his crew that survived....
Truman telling striking railroad works that if they didn't get the f*** back to work he was going to draft them all into active military service.
....."on May 24, 1946, Truman issued an ultimatum declaring that the government would operate the railroads and use the army as strikebreakers. When the deadline passed, Truman went before Congress to seek the power to deny seniority rights to strikers and to draft strikers into the armed forces. Just as Truman reached the climax of his speech, he received a note saying that the strike was “settled on the terms proposed by the President.” After the congressional cheers died down, Truman proceeded with his prepared text." Badass!

Not only that, but it's Carter's fault that Big Corn has more power in this country than teh jews and bilderbergers combined.
He passed the first law that gave a subsidy for corn ethanol production, instituted a tarriff on imported ethanol and then, when the soviets invaded afghanistan, he jacked the subsidies up because his two main actions against the soviets were to boycott the olympics and not send them grain, which pissed off the farmers, so he paid them off.
Jimmy Carter truly is history's greatest monster. It's truly shocking that nod would come to his defense and be such a douche about it. So unlike him.

also i assume this thread was prompted by Obama's last 7 days or so. Releases the long form, talks shit, talks more shit at corespondents dinner, giggles at Osama Jokes, 24 hours later Osama has a bullet in his head. It truly was his first badass moment, and quite possibly the first Dark Executive Moment in United States history, excluding all Clinton sax solos/chubby white girl bjs

Our history of first ladies is woeful. It's like Jackie.......................Michelle..............................................................................all the other heifers. Don't even say Laura Bush, she's scary as all hell and probably actually a cyborg.
