Middle School/Jr. High School

  • I remember my first boner, lunch, crystal and leshawn walked by. I didnt eat that day. My parents aint let me wear baggy jeans, so I had on some smedium tees.

  • Horrible time. I hated it, the only thing that saved me was being a class clown. I could trust no one, even my friends were assholes to me. Most of my growth occured during high school so I still looked like a 5th grader until the 9th grade. In middle school I didn't really pay attention to girls anyways.

6th grade PE locker room still gives me nightmares. 7th grade was probably the worst emotionally. 8th was a little better, plus I had great teachers and great classes.

Just glad I'm out of there now. I think TerpfromHOCO went the same school. Mount View Falcons.

  • well it was called grade school and junior high.

yeah, those were good times. what's not to like? really things were pretty stress free back then.

sandlot tackle football, hoops every day. eat what you want and not gain weight.

I had to walk off a mountain a few miles every day to catch a bus. that was a drag in the snow and rain, but it didnt seem too bad back then. walking back up it after school was a drag though-even back then.

Many of Pitt's 58 "rushing attempts" were the result qb Tino Sunseri fleeing the pocket like a man whose clothes were on fire.

  • I was a bad kid in middle school. I'm not sure if there is any way to confirm this but I'm pretty sure I still hold the 7th grade record for team referrels. I think the deal was if you got 5 team referrels in a week then you got an office referrel which was serious business.

So for every week of 7th grade I got 4 referrels for this, that and the other. I racked up most of them in Mrs. Gardner's Language Arts class. Me and Cody Simmons. It was great though, I was, and still am, such a great writer and interpreter of prose that I would spend all class goofing off and then when Mrs. Gardner would get mad and try to call me out or make me feel dumb for not having paid attention I would pwn her with the super right answer that no one else in class had even considered.

How many times were you asked/forced to do the truffle shuffle in the locker room sauce?

Girls grow much earlier than boys but generally don't have a moment of awakening until the 9th or 10th grade, when they are serenaded with shirtless shouts of YO SOY ESPANOL

The great thing about having an identical twin growing up is you are both pretty much popular by default since you are twins. Then being two of the smartest kids and better athletes in a relatively small school helps even more. Me and Justerp were pretty much the most well known kids in middle/high school.

You are having trouble distiguishing between "popular" whereas people actually like you, and "popular" like the bearded lady at the circus is popular

  • Moved between 7th and 8th grade.

    Nightmare.

Went from small private school in Rockville where I knew everyone and had gone since nursery school to a public Junior High in Jersey where I knew no one and was a new kid among 13-year-old cannibal kids. Plus, everyone was so stupid I had to explain to them over and over that ACC hoops was far superior to the then-new Big East.

  • Even though I was like the biggest kid in school(6'1" 200 at 13), there was this one kid who always tried to bully me. One time at lunch, he threw an entire piece of pizza at me. It hit my back and just stuck there. I calmly just removed it and let him talk about me. The bell rang, I walk out of the cafeteria, tap him on the shoulder, he turned around, and I straight pummel this kid into the ground. We went to the principals office and I talk my way out of it. My parents never even got a call and never found out about it(I guess until now. Sorry dad, I wont do it again!). He got suspended for 2 weeks and I didn't have a scratch on me. He came at me again a few months later in the locker room and I slammed his head into a locker. Then the summer after HS he tried to pick a fight on a basketball court. He was probably 6'0" 135 at the time and I was 6'1" 195 <5% BF, a couple months away from parris island. I was always twice his size and he never had any chance. I never knew why he hated me so much. He was the only kid I ever fought and I went 2.5-0 against him.

Middle school was actually awesome for the most part. Everyone is so awkward. We used to literally count the number of facial hairs we had and use that number to brag. The winner had like 12.

yeah, and subsequently worst experience ever as a girl is being a late bloomer.
middle school sucked. hell, high school was pretty bad, too, until senior year (and even then it wasn't awesome, but once college applications rolled around i was feeling pretty confident for getting in everywhere so i had that going for me)... i really don't think i came into my own until college.

occassionally i enjoy the petty look around facebook to compare my life to those that made things so bad; such a wrong but oh-so-good feeling.

  • When I think of middle school, i just choose to think of Holly King.

Facebook tells me she's now a single mom of 2 who works as a dental assistant in Tennessee. But to me, she'll always be the hottest girl in 7th grade.

    Welcome back.

thanks. it's quite a slow day at work.

i posted on the 'online dating' thread last night, too :) other than that, i've been pretty quiet since ski season has calmed down.

back on topic... i've come to decide that the best period of life was 2-5th grade (when the biggest thrills are getting to play outside w/ all the other neighborhood kids until 10pm in the summer, finishing all your homework on the bus before you even get home, and FINALLY beating Super Mario 3), and then ages 18- now. 11-17 can suck it.

  • From 7 to 9th grades for me was a transition from suburban Catholic elementary school (7 and 8), and freshman year at an urban Catholic high school (old St. Anthony's in NE DC).The only three notable things I remember - my first great love, a big titted Irish redhead at CYO dances, having old men buy me Playboys at the People's Drug store down the street after high school, and sweating my brother being a Marine in Viet Nam. Oh, and boners.

  • When I heard the rumor about the first attractive girl in 7th grade to have actual sex, I couldn't sit down for a week.

    Fwah Grah

  • wtf i didn't even like girls until like 8th grade. and at my school 7th grade was hard as shit so that sucked, but i remember never doing work in 8th grade.

    and first hook ups ftw!

  • I went to a K-8 elementary school so I was around the same people for 9 years.

That being said, midway through 5th grade the hottest girl I had ever seen in my life moved into our class and sat right next to me. I was literally paralyzed when she asked me for a pencil ill never forget it. I gave her my 49ers pencil that I never let anyone touch under any circumstances.

Manessa McMaster I'll never forget her. I have searched her on FB and twitter a few times and never got anything :(

  • I remember my first kisses were from spin the bottle at some Halloween party at my friends place in like 7th grade. I kissed like 3 girls that night and thought I was hot shit

  • I had a girlfriend for like, 6 months in 6th grade. For 6th graders, that was like a 6 year relationship.

She's now fat, has a kid, and is married to a black guy.

Edit to add: Not that there's anything wrong with race mixin'

  • The worst part of middle school was no pens and no gum.

It was like, "Welcome to high school! Where you can chew gum and use the writing utensil of adults"
