Middle Names

  • I'm fairly certain that the names Brittany, Paige, and Danielle all result in ridiculously hot girls.

Paige and Danielle I can agree with, but I've always thought Brittany (and the various spelling variations) led to guaranteed stripper-dom. And not the ridiculously hot stripper type either.

You obviously aren't a very rich white guy, otherwise your middle name WOULD be your main name. I'm 99% sure that people who go by "First Initial. Full Middle Name Last Name" are like twice as rich as the average American.

I am rich, bitch, and this just goes to prove it.

Pardon me, would you happen to have any grey poupon?

What's up with middle names? I was just looking at my full name written down and realized that I have no attachment at all to my middle name. It could be literally any other male saint name and I would feel literally no different about it.

What's the point? Is it like a backup name? You know, in case your parents decide later that your first name sucks and want to call you something else? Or maybe if you're going through a midlife crisis and want to reinvent yourself you can starting being called by your middle name?

Well, one of my co-workers revealed to us this week that his first name is simply the letter L. I have another co-worker who goes by her middle name because all of her sisters share her first name.

  • Apparently my father wanted me to be a confederate general when I grew up and wanted to name me jackson alexander; my mother, rather than stabbing him, suggested they name me her best friend's maiden name and keep the alexander. When I was a kid, i hated my first name, but as an adult it's been very beneficial.

My best friend's name is Jason Jay. His grandfather's name was Jay, just Jay. Names are very interesting to me.

Going along with my what my brother said I too have two middle names, the second one being the same as his second one. My problem is I never know if I need to include it on official forms/applications etc. Its on my drivers license but I never know what to do.

LIke if my name was John Daniel Olenewski Smith (middle names are close to what mine actually are) do I put John D Smith,
John D.O. Smith, John Daniel, or John Daniel Olenewski. I usually just omit the O name

    Jack Daniel, obviously.

  • Apparently my dad really wanted to name me (first name) Michael (middle name) Angelo, but my mom talked him out of it. How disastrous would that have been?!

Considering your avatar, probably not too bad.

I recently attended a Hebrew naming ceremony for a little girl. Didn't know it was such a big deal.

I'm not jewish, but I was under the impression that these were somewhat recent (and not that important), and were done only as a sort of replacement for the briss.
