Weird offing by the Mafia with Mafia. Does that mean Mafia is dumb? Mafia is trying to frame Toogs? Toogs is trying to make us think they are trying to frame him?
I think Mafia is just dumb. And I think Toogs is clean. However, there was one post that stuck out to me trying to bring attention to Toogs being the puppet master. It's the same constant tired argument against him, and nothing else was really brought to the table in that rounds by him except for that indictment. Therefore, my vote is for

I think Shiny is one person to look at, but I'm going after one of the five people (Duff, Scuds, UTF, gsterp, & Eagles) that just had a single word vote post.

One other reason I had for looking at UTF was that he voted for scuds, who was described very negatively before the game. An easy way for mafia to do the first vote is to vote for someone with a poor reputation like that.

Mafia got rid of someone who played so badly that it was pretty much obvious that they were a confirmed civ. If no one screams "civ special," then you might as well get rid of a confirmed civ-- and after day 1 it looked more likely than not that doofus and toogs were probably civs.
Toogs is pretty easy to frame later on, so if I were mafia (and I usually am) I'd probably leave him around and kill someone else, because it won't be too long before toogs gets lynched just because he hasn't been killed yet. Doofus may end up sticking around and being the deciding vote or at least give some kind of inadvertent help to the civs, so you might want to get rid of him.
I wouldn't have actually killed doofus if I were mafia (I'd kill the smart players even if some n00b had pretty much cleared himself), but that's what I would imagine the thought process was for mafia.

Bingo! It was just a matter of time before Hammer started the UTF pile-on. I voted for Scuds the first day so Toogs wouldn't get to throw away his vote just like you're suggesting. If that somehow makes me suspicious, so be it.

I don't think there's much to read into the night kill. If I had to guess the mafia were just annoyed with him and didn't want to deal with that for the rest of the game. They have enough of a numerical edge to get away with a relatively wasted kill.

I'm a little intrigued by the ryala/parlay back and forth last round. They both seemed to be throwing similar accusations at one another but neither was willing to back up an assertion with a vote change, which is odd in round one since there's not really anything to base the initial vote on anyway.
