Czarniak is headed for big things when the NBC/Comcast merger goes through and they try to make Versus a legit ESPN competitor.

She's already done some Nascar stuff with TNT, so they clearly want to keep her in the family and away from the Mouse.

I (obviously) spent my college years in the DC area and I work there often now, but I heard of most of these names on the Don & Mike Show back in the day. They would joke about local news much like Tom did here. They had a way of making it all seem so much more important while at the same time making them look like the biggest joke in the world.

I love this thread, but unfortunately don't have the DC background to understand it. However, I quickly relate it to Channel 11 WBAL in Baltimore.

My grandma came down yesterday and put on the 6:00 news last night so I kept an eye on it solely because of this thread. I had so much to put in this thread but now I forget most of it. However seeing the people who just LOVE the fact that Channel 11 them is interviewing them in front of their trashy Dundalk home slays me. Baltimore news may be lacking in the anchor department, but damn the accents and people more than make up for it.

Alison Starling is the sole reason why I watch Ch. 7. Definitely a good pick-me-up in the morning...

Plus, adding all the hotties rules. The dynamic duo of Pamela Brown and Starling is fap city at 6am.

Adam Caskey is very good with the weather, and I like his homerism for the Sooners...

plus, having the dream team weather duo at night pawns... channel 4 went down the shitter.

Later that year, Alycia was arrested for attacking a female cop and calling her a "f---ing d-ke". She was fired shortly thereafter.

Meanwhile, her co-host Larry Mendte decided to start snooping in her emails. He got caught, fired, and sentenced to six months house arrest. In the process he admitted to having an improper relationship with Alycia Lane. This, despite being married to an anchor on another network, Dawn Stensland. Also, based on their on-camera interactions, I'm almost positive that Dawn Stensland was banging her co-anchor, Dave Huddleston.

On the cool side, Dave Roberts' (former WPVI anchor) son is in the television shows, so there's that.

I've literally never watched a minute of any other newscast but NBC4's....but the OP's pics of the WJLA crew may get me to do so.

Either way, I've been waking up to the Joe Krebs/Eun Yang (formerly, Barbara Harrison) news team for 15+ years it seems. My send off to the wifey every morning is Joe Krebs' patented "Beh." Ran into him at Sugarloaf Winery a couple years ago, but chickened out when saying goodbye.

I miss Barbara in the mornings, but I think I actually have a thing for Eun Yang....and Asians usually don't do it for me. I think it's because I watch before I get some coffee in me. Having Lindsay sub in last week was pretty damn awesome, though.

I had classes at UMCP w/ Pat Collins' kid....I was disappointed when he didn't over-dramatize in normal dialogue.

I watch the news more than sports. WJLA female newscasters are pretty hot.

I watch WUSA channel 9 in the evening because I have the major hots for Lesli Foster. She is so fine. I was lucky to meet her in front of Cole Field House a few years back. Channel 9 also have miss personality Angie Goff who I think just had her baby.
