Little Things That Irratonally Piss You Off (247 Version)

  • One of my facebook friends changed his profile picture to an Apple logo. I'm considering an immediate defriend.

In the same ad a different idiot names the '91 Trailblazers. If you were determined to name a Portland team, at least name the one that won an NBA Title (and was much better, btw).

At some point I'm probably going to completely lose my shit on some of my friends or family over steve jobs passing. He was a businessmam, not an inventor. He made things pretty and marketed the shit well. Save your tears ladies.

Girl: You know what's funny about people disrespecting steve jobs? It's better to have people like you because it just shows how much more brilliant other people can be and that you'll never be. Steve Jobs, forever remembered and your work will be unprecedented on how much you've changed technology.

    Other Person: Who's disrespecting?

Girl: People who are making jokes about it or other people who think other deaths are more deserving of recognition, etc.

SMFH. I want to murder her.

I would stay away from the Commerce Casino in LA. My thoughts on that could easily generate a thread twice as long as this one.

True on Portland. But they did have Bill Walton. That's gotta count for something negative.

The sidewalk moves so you don't have to. 99% of the time I am on one, I walk, but I can't blame someone for chillin and letting technology do the work for them. If you like walking so much, stick to the regular old fashioned ground, tough guy.

Strange, I always thought it was for people who need to make it through an airport tunnel as fast as possible and find it difficult to run carrying 2 loaded bags. If you are just sitting there waiting for the walkway to move you from point A to point B, you could easily be walking, and are most likely delaying people who need to get from point A to point B QUICKLY.

I can barely see standing still on an escalator (even then, if you want to stand still, take the elevator), but there is absolutely no excuse for it on a walkway unless you are handicapped in some way.

  • I hate how often I have to go to urban dictionary because I have no idea what a lot of abbreviations mean. I'm pretty sure in a few years we will just be using abbreviations for everything on message boards.

text or twitter speak is definitely one of my irrational pet peeves. If you write that shit in a work/professional environment, I'm pretty sure you deserve to have horrible things happen to you.

I get stuff like this in my email box all the time 'Are u free 2day at 3?'

  • I'm walking on a sidewalk. There's no one really around. There's a person 15 feet ahead of me either waiting for their dog to finish peeing or they are on their phone or wrangling their kids. The point is they are just standing there.

When I'm within two feet of them, they start walking in the same direction as me and the same pace. We're basically walking side by side for 5 to 7 seconds until one of us decides to speed up. I don't know why this makes me so uncomfortable but it does.

    Justified.

Close walkers are as bad as close talkers, but without the breath issue. It's a violation of personal space.

THIS is one of the greatest outrages in the world. I wanted to join al qaeda when I turned on the History Channel on President's Day this year expecting to see a marathon of that show "Presidents" that goes through each president and gives you their background, the history of their administration, and interesting facts about them. Instead there was like one episode of that and then a pawn stars marathon.

Yeah, the History Channel could pawn so hard if it lived up to even half its potential.

Unfortunately, it's now like a 1990 Upper Deck Todd Van Poppel rookie card.
