My dad is the worst channel surfer on the face of the planet. First of all, he uses the guide, which means he has no idea what he is even looking for in the first place. Second, he reads the description of anything that even remotely sounds more exciting than paint drying. Also, he hates sports so that is out. And the worst part is, no matter what he is looking for or at, the channel always ends up on MSNBC, CSPAN, or PBS.

i find it to be rational, but people that shovel their sidewalk, but not the curb cuts. do you think the curb in front of your house is an island that people walk back and forth on? why bother at all if you arent going to make it right?

Outside white LED Christmas lights. The ones that are so white they are almost blue. I hate them and I am super annoyed when someone mixes them with the traditional white lights.

the phrase "you're just jealous." 99 percent of the time this is said by women. I can't think of a single instance when this was said to me where I was indeed jealous.
example:
Girl: OMG Grey's was so good last night
Me: that show sucks
Girl: You're just jealous
wtf, that doesn't even make sense.

My old man watches the TV with no sound and closed captioning because "the commercials are just too damn loud." He's 60 years old, not 80.
Imagine trying to watch sports this way with CC taking up the screen and way behind the play. Infuriating.

Its not ESPN its all journalists. I am super shocked that the wikileaks controversy isn't called leakgate. It really pisses me off and just shows laziness and lack of creativity,
Also anytime anyone says the phrase "Wouldn't you like to know" after I asked a question. OF COURSE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW I JUST ASKED YOU THE DAMN QUESTION!!! GO STAB YOUR EFFING THROAT!!!

This is indeed the best way to watch sports. I understand the loud commercials argument but an even more compelling one is that the announcers are almost always morons. The CC can be turned off too

I'm a major remote hog. Whenever I walk into a room where there is a tv on I, without consciously thinking about it, locate the remote and begin working it. I think I probably piss people off royally when I do this but I think I'm justified in doing it because I am excellent with the remote. I know what people want to watch, I know what the secondary programming should be, and I have an uncanny instinct about when commercial breaks are going to end. So it really annoys me when someone else is hogging the remote and doing a terrible job of it.

When there is a lane to go straight and a lane with a straight/right turn on red option, people who are in the turn lane to go straight.

when i'm paying cash for something and the total ends up being like $4.03-- I hate forking over a 5 and then having 97 cents in my pocket which I know I will lose. So the effective price ends up being $5.
