Sort of like toogs, but I got caught up with other shows. I liked the first couple of episodes. Is it necessary to watch S1 you think to be ready for S2?

Season 1 definitely had a little dip after the first couple of episodes but I thought it finished very strong.
I also don't think you need to know what happened in Season 1 to watch tonight. It's certainly not Lost.

I thought last season ended very strong, and since Boyd Crowder didn't get killed, this season looks promising.

Nice avitar. I was watching the Bourne Identity on TV last night and noticed he was one of the guys in the room when they were tracking Bourne.

Sepinwall interviewed Walton Goggins recently. Reading that pretty much got me fired up to rewatch The Shield, which I conveniently got for Christmas.

I don't know how many people have read the novels (I have not) but I read that Boyd was killed early in the books but that Justified's creative team decided to keep him around. Kind of ala Lafayette for those who watch True Blood.

Other than being loosely based on the Elmore Leonard story line at the start, I figure they just found out that Boyd Crowder and Naomi were more compelling actors/characters and expanded their roles. I liked Ava Crowder too, but Naomi is hotter. LOL!!!

I haven't missed a single episode, and they continue to slip in some sly and intelligent dialogue. I just love it.

Yea I don't get the sense that I'm watching brilliance (like The Wire, Shield, Breaking Bad) but damn this is a FUN show. I too am glued.

Pretty much how I feel. I don't think it has the edge-of-your-seat quality to it but it's refreshing to see a crime/police drama that isn't about a big city. I like how law enforcement, private citizens and criminals all know each other and even grew up together. It has a different dynamic to it than the big-city shows where the cops have to try to figure out who people are and get inside their heads in order to stop them.

I thought last season was pretty decent, but not a "must-see". This season has been really good television, IMO. The town meeting scene last night was spectacular. Mags Bennett steals just about every scene she is in.

Thought the backstory on Dickie Bennett's limp was awesome. Can't wait until Coover gets taken out.
I'm guessing Loretta will play a big part shortly because Raylan saved her from the perv.
