Jay-Z, Pearl Jam and more, Philly, Labor Day

  • Since news of this may not have made it do the DMV, I figured I'd post it here. Labor Day weekend there will be the "Made in America" festival in Philadelphia, featuring:

JAY Z, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Miike Snow, Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Odd Future, D'Angelo, Maybach Music (feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill), Passion Pit, Santigold, Dirty Projectors, X, Janelle Monae, Prince Royce, Rita Ora, Savoy (DJ set), The Knocks & more to be announced...

I've only heard of a couple of them, but I thought some people might be interested. Tickets are $135(!) though. I'm still not sure how they're going to close off the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to those without tickets. I'm hoping this becomes an annual thing. Things like this in Philly seem to always only feature Patti LaBelle, Will Smith, Hall & Oates, and The Roots.

  • Wtf, how can they have a concert there? Are they going to completely gate off BF parkway? Both of those bridges? Is the crowd going to be limited to be road, all the way to Logan Square? The logistics of this makes no sense. Traffic will be a nightmare. I guess I can make plans to be in DC that weekend now.
