Obama appears much more competent and his overall attitude is positive. Carter's public image was almost relentlessly negative in everything I've ever seen of his presidency.

Plus he pissed off Tip O'Neill and couldn't count on his own party to back him. Romney would need to keep the conservative wing happy or he could suffer the same consequence as president.

He also got killed by Ted Kennedy in that primary. There was no enthusiasm for his reelection and that made it easy for the "Reagan Dems" to ditch him.

Nate Silver has been predicting the delegate shakeout the last few days. Last I recall he had Mitt taking about 250-275, with Newt and Santorum more or less splitting about 70 between them and Paul picking up roughly 25.

Gah. I moved two months ago and I guess I forgot to change my registration to my new town. So much for voting today. Is it voter fraud if I just go and vote at my old polling place, even though I don't live there (assuming I'm only voting in the state primary and no local issues are on the ballot)?

I've voted at my old polling place before. AFAIK, it is only voter fraud if you attempt to vote at both your old and new place.
It would be stupid to take away your right to vote just because you moved at an inconvenient time.
