Why are you getting married on a Saturday during football season? If you are so whipped already than it won't last. No good can come of this, call it off.

Seriously though, it's awesome. You'll have a very surreal moment during the reception when you'll look out and realize that a) everyone who means anything to the two of you are all in the same room and b) this collection of people will never all be together again

I got married on 9/10/11, and what I remember is how fast it all goes. It was a ton of fun, but a blur. Enjoy it.

Here's some advice. I got married 6 months ago. There were 9 groomsmen and me. 5 of us went to MD, so we played a UMD vs the World basketball game hours before our rehearsal dinner. This picture is what my ankle/foot looked like the day of my wedding ... minutes before limping down the aisle, using my mother as a crutch... DONT PLAY BASKETBALL before your wedding

I'm playing golf tomorrow morning and then chilling Saturday morning before lunch and all the other wedding festivities. Thought about doing high-speed go karting but that idea was shot down.

LOL. That reminds me: my parents got married the weekend immediately after Thanksgiving. At Thanksgiving dinner with my mom's family, my dad went out with all the guys to play a game of football. Sure enough, he broke his leg. 2 days before the wedding. He had his leg in a cast on his wedding day. I don't think that went over very well.

I got married back in May, and one major piece of advice I can give is although an open bar is an awesome thing pace yourself, and don't let your buddies give you shots - it can go down hill very quickly. A happy wife makes all the difference in the world, especially when the day, lets be honest, is all about her.
Coincidently I live Richmond as well.
