"Please note this is not "who has/made the best bacon" this is a gourmet cooking competition with "bacon" as the notable ingredient. You are free to do whatever you want in this challenge. Criteria have been noted in the other thread, but if we feel your dish isn't bacony enough, you will lose"

You do realize that the one thing that was supposed to universally matter in this competition was using bacon, right? I know my dish ended up looking like shit (making my own crust was a huge mistake), but at least there was actually bacon used in the process. They crumbled a couple pieces on top. Not even baked into the dough, just placed them on top. That's why it's ridiculous that it medaled.

Hmm. Out of all the issues with this clusterfuck, that isn't one I expected. That bacon donut is every bit as bacony as wrapping bacon around a steak, or putting some in a chicken sandwich.

It was a bacon sandwich, wIth bacon bourbon and bacon and cream cheese filled pastries and it got destroyed by a donut with a Peter North helping on top.

No shot you actually believe that.
They didn't use bacon in the dough or in the glaze as far as I can tell. The glaze is maple...but that doesn't mean bacon. Also how is a donut gourmet. That entry really didn't follow any of the guidelines and somehow finished third.
AND IT LOOKS FUCKING TERRIBLE.
