If I'm down $200, I'm done for the night. If I'm down $500, I'm done for the trip (but that's only happened once).
But I'm the definition of a low roller. My goal is to sit at a blackjack table, bet the minimum every time, and suck down as many free drinks as possible.

I don't have an exact limit, but If I'm down around $300 for the day I usually stop playing until the next day. I usually play anywhere between $10-$25 blackjack hands depending on how I feel. My bets usually go up with how much I drink, I fall right into the casino's trap.

It always amazes me when I see people who drop tons of money at various table games. Obviously this isn't more than a hunch/feeling, but to me, it's usually pretty obvious when people can actually afford it versus when they just dropped half of a paycheck in 30 minutes.
Also, I'm not sure there's a more depressing sight than old people sitting for hours playing fairly high-limit slots with their oxygen tanks next to them.

It seems like this is almost anti-card counting. If you win a few hands, it's likely that the "good" cards have come out for you, and that there are fewer left. So, wouldn't you be raising your bet in a spot where card counters would likely be decreasing their bets?

One could just as easily argue that when you're on a winning streak, the count is likely in your favor, and you should be increasing your bets.
But in the end, who cares? Unless you're counting cards to the point that you're getting heat from the casinos, you're there trying to have fun. And betting bigger when you're winning is fun.

I'll drop a few hundred here and there if I'm at the casino with friends for fun. When I'm there for work I try to stay away from the pit though unless I'm detilting at Pai Gow. One time I was playing that though and someone was betting between 2k and 10k a hand while I was betting $20. I felt like the ultimate noob.
