Should I check this show out? People say it's good and I do feel that I'm getting nerdier as I age. I'm just worried it's too sci-fi channel looking to be taken seriously, although I guess that didn't ruin Twin Peaks.

It's worth checking out. I almost didn't bother because basically it's a space Western. And how in the actual fuck could that be any good? I'm easily irritated by overtly campy shows, a group which includes most action shows, most space shows, and most Western shows. But among all the stuff Whedon has done (most of which I don't particularly care for), Firefly is the least girly and IMO the most interesting. After giving it a couple of episodes, I was happy to watch them all.

It suffers a bit from being "light" in that way that only Whedon manages to pull off. But it doesn't suffer all that much, really. There aren't many episodes so it's a minor commitment packed with a lot to experience. And it all leads up to the movie, which truly is good. Also, Christina Hendricks at (IMO) her all-time hottest appears in a couple of episodes. As incredibly sexy as her looks, shape, and mannerisms were in those days, I would have gladly paid good money just to smell her farts. (Lifted that from Sinbad; sorry.)

Anyway, as characters, in order I'd bone:
C1. Inara (Morena)
C2. Kaylee (Jewel)
C3. River (Summer)

Can't really say why, without spoiling the show for those who haven't watched.

I'd shoot seventeen Ecuadoran nuns in the head if it meant I could bone ANY of the actresses. But if I had the luxury of ranking them:
A1. Morena
A3. Jewel
A3. Summer

That's a tie for third with no second, because I'm quite sure that Jewel actually would be more fun -- but Summer would carry more cache with more people, and I'm not sure what my motivation would be: personal satisfaction or bragging rights? I think Jewel would be bragging rights enough, so I listed her first even though I really can't decide.

Yep, the flexibility alone is mind boggling.

As far as the characters go, not just based on looks, I'd probably order it:

Kaylee, Inara, River

Your character and actress order are the same, so why bother with the distinction?

I can't believe no one has posted pics of Christina Hendricks yet. She is the hottest and should have been included in the poll.

I go for Kaylee first 10 out of 10 times. Even though Inara is physically more beautiful Kaylee is more needy and will try very hard. River (not Summer the actress is last). I would be afraid she would go ninja on me.

Obviously Inara. This show was sooo good. Can't believe it only got one season.

I'd have to chose Inara mainly because she is a trained "companion". i'm guessing she's pretty good at it.
