History Channel did a standard doc on this several years ago. They replay it occasionally on their off brand channel (used to be called History International).

It bugs me how history channel just shows marathons of their reality shows on holidays instead of shows about how great the greatest generation is. Pawn Stars is a pretty entertaining show, but I want to be reminded how shameful my generation is on days like this. Not get angry that a guy thinks a picture of marilyn monroe he found at a dump is worth thousands of dollars.

Priceless would indicate that they are not, in fact, worth a few hundred dollars. That generation wasn't all that great.
