Google Glasses

Technology is getting ridiculous. Ridiculously awesome! What surprises me the most about this is the relatively low cost for something so futuristic. I guess the individual components aren't revolutionary. We have tiny cameras now. We have transparent displays. We have tiny radios, voice recognition, mobile video chat and messaging, location services, accelerometers, gyroscopes, location services, image recognition services (google goggles), and social networking out the wazoo. They just found a unique way to splice all that technology together.
I suppose you also need a data plan. Maybe it can piggyback on a cell phone via bluetooth. I can't imagine this would necessarily replace the cell phone because I don't imagine everyone would want to wear these all the time.

Google is also working on self-driving cars, so I'm sure they'll be programmed not to run over people with google glasses. Wearing apple glasses, on the other hand, and the google car will go into donte stallworth mode.
