I actually didn't even know what show you're talking about till I just looked it up... But Gomer Pyle was on 23 episodes, and Goober Pyle was on 86 episodes, so you're right and then some.
But for whatever reason, I've definitely heard of Gomer and not Goober. Gomer apparently had his own spinoff, so he's got that going for him.
