Tickets are $98 including all of the fees.

That being said, this guy bought the Spaghetti Incident on the day it came out. Oh yes, I will be trying desperately to get tickets.

  • If it was with Slash, Izzy, Duff etc I would easily pay double that price. For Axl and some karaoke backup band hell no.

I went to a GnR show at the Spectrum in Philly in 1991 right after "Use Your Illusion" came out. Show started at 7pm, Soundgarden was opening act (hadn't heard of them before that but was impressed), they played until about 8pm. GnR didn't come out until 11:30.

So there was a giant video board in the middle of the arena, and the cameras are panning around the crowd. Some chick flashes her tabes on the screen. Place goes wild. Pretty soon every other shot is chick whipping out her tabes. Then security starts throwing chicks out; dudes start getting hostile towards security and each other, a near riot ensues - some how the place calms down some and the rest of the time it's cat and mouse between the camera, tabes and security. This goes on for 3 hours!

Finally, at 11:30, GnR comes on and plays for 3 hours straight, without a break. It was the best show I've ever been to, and I've been going to shows for 25 years.

I have no idea what their shows are like now, haven't been to one since then - sounds like they are still making their fans wait, i hope it's still worth it.

I know somebody who saw them just a few weeks ago and said it was an amazing show.

I've seen video clips of GnR shows from the past few years, and the quality of the performances has ranged from awesome to LOLbad.

I LOVE GnR, but given the likelihood of an awful performance, the price, and the possibility of Axl making me wait for 3 hours or more, I'll pass.

Seriously, who makes their audience wait for 3 hours? I'm a grown ass man, dog. I'm too old for that shit.

I agree, it's a douche move. It really was a miracle there wasn't a full out riot (I mean it was Philly, come on). And that was the pinnacle of the band's success. Axl's lucky if I'd wait 30 minutes for him now.

  • Some of you are going to be awfully jealous when the surprise of this mini tour is a reunion of Slash and Axl, gearing up for their real reunion in April at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. It kind of makes sense given that they're making such a big deal out of playing Webster Hall (f/k/a "The Ritz") in New York City.

  • duff and izzy are back on good terms with axl so basically slash is all that is standing in the way of a full blown reunion (screw matt).

    lazy

  • I'll never say never, and ultimately I think they're leaving too much money on the table if they don't do it, but I really think Slash and Axl will not reconcile. Axl is a monster dick.

Apparently they've already had a few talks and things are much, much more peaceful.
