Everyone I knew loved the show when it was first on. Then it came back, wasn't nearly as funny, and we turned 16 and realized it sucks. It's not even close to as funny as modern day Simpsons, let alone classic Simpsons or South Park (or Futurama or...). It's really not very good.

it's somewhat before my time and i never watched it, so probably a fruitless exercise arguing that.
I'd like you to begin to explain Al Bundy or Alex Keaton over GOB Bluth, though. al bundy is a nostalgic character, but he doesn't compare. Ed O'Neill as Jay on Modern Family could arguably be a funnier character than Al Bundy.

Futurama and the Simpsons are two of the ten best shows ever made(regardless of genre).

There was no funnier show than the Simpsons in its prime. I have seen those episodes hundreds of times and know all of the lines and still laugh when I watch the re-runs.
I do like Family Guy most of the time, but it really can't compare.

I can't stand FG. But prime Simpsons really was perfect.

Seinfeld
The Simpsons (ignoring post season 9, and mainly for seasons 2-7)

I'm 20 and I love Futurama and The Simpsons I would say Family Guy is more popular with other kdis my age, especially at UMD. It's definitely unfortunate.

the simpsons is the only show where I literally laugh at loud at certain references. The rewatchability is absurdly high too, much higher than most other shows.
Obviously there's no comparison between Family Guy and the Simpsons. Family Guy gets most of their jokes from stuff that is outside of the storyline, the Simpsons had diverse characters who were funny by themselves.

i dont get how you limit it to 16...this is easily a 32 team tourney if not more
but chris elliott sledgehammer doug heffernan and bernie mac have to be in this
