I am relaxing on the deck. I have 50+ bottles of wine in the house. I open one. After drinking some, the wife and I decide that we should eat dinner. We've both worked our asses off this week. Instead of working in the kitchen, the option of chucking a pizza in the oven is easy and simple.

Sorry I didn't consult Miss Manners or Emily Post to see whether it was appropriate or if would offend your proper sensibilities. On the flip side, you seem to be a happy, relatively well adjusted chap. Maybe I should be more like you. :megafrode:

My best friend's GF is a total succubus. He came into town tonight (moved to CO in May) and I invited him and his GF out for drinks on me. She refused and told him he could come out. As we get to the bar, she sends him a text telling him she hopes he has a terrible time and not to call her for a ride. Ten minutes later she shows up at the bar, causes a huge scene, gives me his beer and basically drags him into her car.

I think its one of the reasons he's into her. She's cool 95% of the time, but 5% of the time she's causing epic drama. Normally it is entertaining, except I was left with a stupid look on my face as I was left at the bar by myself.

So there's a good chance I end up going to see "The Social Network" alone tonight. Can't decide if that's more or less pathetic than just sitting around doing nothing.

watching the utah state/byu game. apparently i'm going to an Octoberfest tomorrow in DC? i don't know how all my weekends of watching football were taken from me, I guess I should ask my fiance.....

I went to the local high school football game tonight and saw a lot of people I haven't seen in a while. They actually serve pierogi's (3 for $1.50) at the concession stand. Tomorrow they have the annual "pigs in the blanket" festival(stuffed cabbage or holupki's as they are known around here) and it starts at 10 in the morning. One lady is a local legend for her holupki's and she made 1800 of them. I guess this will be an Eastern European weekend for me because I also made a huge kettle of chicken paprikash for my mother and it is always better served the next day once it has a chance to really congeal overnight.
