You don't need to project superiority given your obvious intellect, but you do so frequently. Above ^ is an example!
All of what you say is true, but wasn't the tyranny of the majority the reason gays suffered inequality as human beings?
Do two wrongs make a right?
Any time you quote Leviticus, you're losing an argument against logic.
Any Catholic or Protesant Bible is Christian! Thanks for playing...
Actually is is important in this respect. Having an identity one is borne with has multiple protections under EXISTING law. That circumstance also is substantial evidence against the argument gays are gay by choice. And this is why multiple millions in research is being conducted to verify this.
Now I see it also as an equal protection issue under the Constitution. I've discussed it here ad nauseum.

You need to actually read what I said before inaccurately concluding I " lost an argument."
I know people glance at posts from work stations, and may miss nuance, but I was very clear what I thought about that passage and why it was an obstacle for some (not me) in this discussion.
how does one allow a mythical being (god) to shape their hatred of gays yet not believe actual human beings (gays themselves) when they say being gay isnt a choice
Why do you think so?
"Acting like a dick" can have many causes, some frivilous and other profound. Accordingly, whether a dick is actually a dick is in the eye of the beholder.
people are dumb....i know the answer
i just dont and wont ever understand it
People may be dumb, but for sure we can be biased and discriminate!
I understood your post. I understand that a lot of people(not you), base their opinions on the topic on Leviticus. I take issue with that.
Unfortunately, there's a history of people who are anti-gay expressing themselves in a dickish way-not saying you or every who share the same viewpoint are-but that's kind of the reality. Unfortunately it's a stance that has just as much root in hate as it does for adherence to religion or tradition. and like I said, it results in guilt by association.
I'm not saying the pro-gay response is always reasonable or respectful either, I think there's kind of a built in automated response regardless of the nature of the opposing view. The difference is the argument of tolerance will almost always win.
Anyone who uses Leviticus as any kind of moral guide or basis for opinion has a lot of explaining to do.
And a lot of Maryland crab feasts to not go to ever.
"And I try to har-mo-nize with songs the lonesome sparrow sings...
There are no kings inside the Gates of Eden."
Thanks, just clarifying.
Appreciate your comments...
Very true, but sometimes we have a very broad view of "dickishness."
Now quit banging on Orthodox Jews, (j/k)
Terrible threads can be saved by great responses, and a few have been observed.
"...I read this in bed right now and just burst out laughing out loud, waking up my girlfriend..."
Now you are gloating about this. Knowing how your past girl friend looked, we should all be jealous!
This thread rocks, and I haven't even really gotten started. Keep up the good work!
When the young, the old and those in between plus Pubs and Dems and Independents can come out (if I can use the term) in favor of gay/lesbian rights, there can be little doubt about the direction of acceptance as the norm.
I award unto thee the Righteous Non Sequitur Award
If nolaeer were Jesus, there would be a lot more rapturing going on.
