As for "how so?" Omar succinctly answered that.
classlessthug: I have too much on my plate to worry about the fact that my junk intimidates some needle D undergrad.
I'm certain that what you are quoting is NOT the Christian Bible. Try again
If they identify as women, and they have female anatomy, they should be treated as women. If there's nothing legal yet that can be done, someone certainly should have gone up to them and asked them to stop. What they did was highly inappropriate, the same way if they were other women exposing themselves in front of children.
Of all the outlandish things you've said in this thread, this is possibly the most bothersome. You shouldn't be trying to "convince" anyone of anything. We can all have our opinion, even you with your dumb ones. You're right that mocking is counterproductive... so stop mocking homosexuality and minimizing a life choice that everyone is entitled to make.
Wait, aren't Indians supposed to be smart?
No need to worry. This will be covered by the new "Phil Mickleson man-breast" statute.
Who knew a thread about homosexuality would cause so much butthurt.
Pic Sigs are for losers.
You realize this is the Internet, right? If this were the floor of Congress I'd agree that making jokes, trolling for upvotes and posting .gifs might not be the appropriate forum.
You correct in your view, but the approach will prolong the inequality. Transition made based persuasion is more effective and deeper held. It is not a debate of the primary issue, just in the approach to those who oppose us. I made a living negotiating union contracts, and to approach an opposing view (which in many instances was not in the longer view good for either the business, its employees or the union) with the arrogance or mockery was a fail from the jump!
I am sharing a broader approach, one that has success. But if you and Omar and hgoodman believe mockery and derision is useful know you are building walls not breaking down barriers. You prolong the process maybe indefinitely, added to the enormous waste of energy and spirit. We should do unto others as we would have them do unto us, which, btw, is all we ask the opponents to gay rights to do, treat people as we would be treated.
If your objective is to feel good mocking someone so you can project yourself superior in some way, know you do the opposite. But this is useful input so I don't mistake adolescent quiping for serious thinking on important matters..
We just have a basic difference in approach. In homosexuality and abortion, we probably basically agree but for very different reasons. That is why reading for comprehension is so important when you rise to criticize, as you have completely missed what my view is on those issues!
I am not mocking anything but mockery. If you spent any time here, you'd know that already! So quit being dumb, read entire threads, and get to know where your fellow Terp fans actually stand on topics.
Now that is funny, but a former ncsu football coach would be a better example.
Tag, why did you?
I wanted to leave this thread alone. The OP is not asking about the morality of being gay but that gays may "seeking affirmation" in the acceptance of PDA. Tag you brought into this Gods word which sincere Christians who study the bible believed it to been "breathed" into existence by God Himself.
I do not hate gays nor do I fear them (phobia).
But I believe God when He says he did not make gays gay.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
For such a time as this.
Explaining bigotry /= useful
I don't need to project myself superior for having the emotional maturity older than a second grader unlike the OP and people of his ilk — I am superior.
Count me in for walling off bigots, if that's what is being proposed.
You are bigoted towards bigots...
That's a bingo!
I absolutely HATE bigots, can't stand them in fact.
You deserve whatever you get for choosing to go to Delaware.
Does this depend on the red dot/feather answer?
So is making up ridiculous straw man arguments.
When this topic wins it all, I just want to be able to say, I was there!
By *any* standard? There are lots of places in the world where a females' bare breast don't call for police action.
I don't know what you mean, but it had the cadence of a joke.
It's perfectly fine to have an opposing view. but your view is quickly becoming that of the minority and so it shouldn't surprise anyone when others object. Unfortunately when your view is considered or expressed in an intolerant or bigoted manner, you'll get some flack.
If I walk around acting like a dick, I would expect someone to call me out on it. the problem is that though you can have a somewhat respectful disagreeing position on homosexuality, most of those with similar sentiments are probably dicks about it.
