Analyst work for a criminal justice/law enforcement agency. Basically program evaluations and performance measure related assignments.
people sometimes look at you weird, but the suque needs its own screen on the road too.
I did the PAX NAVAIR thing for a year, and a bunch of the in-laws are lifers down there. What an interesting place...
** Insert lazy federal employee joke here **
Yeah man been down here since Sunday. You're either one of them or from out of town. Pretty sure everyone works at the base. It's a hot spot for Middle America restaurants
Procurement Program Management, basically Cspec work with PM certain to go along with it. Limited customer interface
Invest in a pair of pajama jeans. Thank me later.
Oh yeah. Kids, dogs, birds, lawnmowers, car alarms and horns, doorbells, TV. The mute button is your friend!
What are you going to do, interview people from your basement?
Haha I ended up getting this
It's pretty awesome, not gonna lie. I would recommend this for anybody who cannot live without a secondary monitor when you're on the go. Pretty decent screen size, a tad expensive but I love it.
Wtf? The feds are quite progressive regarding wah
Acceptable to have a (few) beer(s) on a day like today? Just cracked a big bottle of dead guy ale
The best is when someone schedules a conference call for any time after 10 am on a Friday. When the organizer asks a question of the group, he or she is met with 10 seconds of radio silence. Then sheepishly says "uh, does anyone wanna come off mute?". No, asshole, I don't. I'm either on a boat, in a deer stand, or whacking. This is what you get for not waiting til Monday.
I had an insanely rough commute from my bed to desk today because of the snow.
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
downside is when you are planning to take a day off you still get calls/emails all friggin day
This doesn't happen when you work in an office?
So bad you missed night moves!
Lol that's the THIRD time Raise has said that today
it's less frequent because if you normally work in an office and you aren't there folks assume you are taking the day off and will at least be less likely to bother you (or feign some kind of stupid apology when doing so)
No, not for me. If anything, people email me with some sort of "just in case you're checking in" type excuse at a higher frequency. If I'm in the office, they'll just wait until they see me walk by to bother me.
It really is.
