We went outside the building after it stopped and saw someone pull into the parking lot. He had no idea there was an Earthquake.

this was one of my major reasons for not wanting to live in California. Earthquakes suck.
Pic Sigs are for losers.
how do i go from never experiencing an earthquake to this being the 3rd in the last 6 months? its not supposed to happen on the east coast.
so many fat people in my office, I legit thought it was them all running by my desk
WTF? My truck swayed back and forth about 5 times. Jesus Christ.
No chance we arent due for a big one now.
I thought it was going to be a tremor and then it went nuts. crazy. I've been through 4 now, a 7.9, a 7.7, the 3.0 last spring, and now this 5.8.
Felt it in Raleigh...everyone freaked out. Knocked my phone off the receiver (was barely on there anyway).
I wake up then that happens
didn't expect that
My building shook pretty good. The secretary by my office yells "OH JESUS" i put on a calm demeanor while shitting self
Shook the hell out of me in Fredericksburg. Scared the crap out of me. Pulled the baby from her nap and took cover. Stuff off the shelves and walls. Felt like it lasted forever. Easily probably a minute or so.
My first earthquake....that was intense....not that scary for the first 10 seconds.....after 20 seconds I almost dropped to my knees to pray.
...in Manassas btw.

Twittersphere saying it was felt from NYC to NC and as far west as Cincy.
"It's just so hard," Greivis said. "It's my heart, my love. Maryland made me who I am."
Felt it in NY, but not to bad at all.
My co-workers in Ohio said they felt it as well.
Holy shiite, felt in ba county near mount washington...
Anyone eIse's iphone not working?
Further north...I felt it in Boston...
So what's the deal with earthquakes, are there going to be more, or aftershocks or what? I thought I was safe from this kind of disaster here in middle america
Friends in CH/Raleigh saying it was strong there, reports it was felt in Charlotte, even some friends at Clemson saying they felt it, so it came south a ways too.
Wasn't really that bad in Hagerstown. No more than 15 seconds, but my house felt like it was going to collapse
mine appears to be working. now i just need to make sure my house isn't damaged. that was brutal

This. First 10 seconds it was just a little vibration, sorta like a big plane flying over. Then large objects started shaking and I was like OH S***
