I missed Neal's post but I am definitely old school country. Willie, Waylon, Hank, Johnny, etc.
I like skiing but am now at an age where I absolutely can't afford any type of joint break or tear. The fear of getting hurt makes it less enjoyable.
sports are great, but most of the culture that surrounds them is completely unbearable.
Phatboy if you had any balls I'd meet you at the AFA Boxing gym and have Coach Weichers put some gloves on us.
My father in law is 72, not in particularly good shape, and still skis at least 20 days a year. Sack up.
This. It's hard for me to get invested in an NBA game when the people at the game don't seem to give a crap either.
Why? At least with college football, there is the novelty of fun offenses to break up the grind of NFL homogeneity.
My unpopular opinion is that I confess I don't "get" znate. I feel like Ben when he's first introduced to L'il Sebastian. It's not that I have anything against him, but I'm fascinated by the reaction to him.
Its just more fun to me.
"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
I agree with 80% of the comments on this thread, especially that it should be named after me in some way.
About 15% of the comments, I can at least understand the sentiment behind them.
The rest are just crazy. Vegetable crab is better than cream of crab?? Absolutely insane. Philly cheesesteaks are awful?? I think it's nearly impossible to make one that's not delicious.
lol this, I said that to him in chad once. Im still not sure I get it and I've even met the guy and had a conversation with him.
That's really a perfect analogy.
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
The players often don't seem to give a crap either.
90% of regular season NBA games are meaningless for at least one team. For the most part there just isn't a sense of urgency. College games feel more intense. The players care more and individual games matter more.
For every Boston/Miami game there are 10 Charlotte/Sacramentos.
You give a crap when the O's come out to a 3/4 empty Camden Yards. Who cares what the atmosphere is like at the game if you are at home?
Country music is terrible and should not exist, but that's not really an unpopular opinion.
The NBC primetime comedies aren't good. Office, Community, and 30 Rock anyway, I haven't watched Parks and Rec, but I can't stand Amy Poehler so I doubt I'd enjoy it.
Parks and Rec is probably the best one
Like 90% of college games are meaningless. At least Sacramento has fun players.
I agree, except for 30 rock. In the past, it was really funny if only for Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghy. I think that character should team up with Al Swearengen and Ari Gold and conquer the world.
pineapple is amazing on pizza
Lol at not liking Amy Poehler. She's only one of the godfathers of improv comedy and one of the funniest women of all time.
I think baseball is different. It's a more relaxed sport.
historicus is also right about the players seeming to not give a crap. In baseball I don't get that feeling. I was watching the end of the Wizards game last night and they're down 6 with a minute left and they're walking the ball up the court, not worrying about fouling, there's just no sense of urgency at all.
Including Boston in this post shows how little you know about the NBA.
Memphis/OKC is meaningless, but an excellent game. Dallas/GS is both meaningful and a great game. That is it for tonight.
Nothing says meaningful like SE Louisiana/Central Arkansas and Lipscomb/USC Upstate!
How about Radiohead is just awful in general? Never could understand all the love for this band - I just don't understand it I guess.
Not an opinion!!1!!1 THIS IS FACT!!!~!!!11!!!1!
People who think "going to the mountains" is a vacation need to die in the mountains, preferrably at the hands of WVU fans.
