Last week, the Georgia state senate voted to sue the state of Tennessee in order to claim a sliver of land that would grant Georgia access to the Tennessee River. Georgia, readers must understand, has mismanaged its own water resources to the point where it now struggles to supply enough water for the residents of Atlanta (and its sprawling suburbs and exurbs) to fill their above-ground pools and wash the TruckNutz on their mini-vans. Dangerously, the state is actually seeking to redraw a border that has kept the peace for over 200 years, and all over a crucial resource — a resource belonging, rightfully, to the Tennessee of my ancestors.
Georgias water. This means war. As a son of Lookout Mountain and an Iraq and Afghanistan vet, I know how to stop the Georgians.
If you want to get technical, that land should belong to the Cherokee, not your Tennessee ancestors.
Somehow this is Lane Kiffin's fault
Obviously this in tongue in cheek, but lol @ someone from Tennessee calling Georgia white trash.
Exclusive DEBKA report?
Water never gets enough attention.
Georgia plays at Tennessee this year. Perfect opportunity for an invasion.
ever see the movie chinatown?
NYCTerp is now OCTerp
I've seen Big Trouble in Little China, I assume there is some overlap.
I've lived in Tennessee for the last year. I can't imagine how Georgia could possibly be worse. I, for one, welcome our new peach eating overlords.
This was a double post, so I'll use this opportunity to say fuck the south.

GA mobilizing the militia...
The ordinance requiring gun ownership in Nelson, Ga., contains no penalty for those who refuse to comply.
Somewhere soon in some Russian province, there will be similar confusion about Georgia's aggressive posturing.
...except probably written in better English...
Putin better invade Georgia again just in case. Better safe than sorry.
Isn't this similar to the border war over the Potomac about water rights between VA & MD?
I love this stuff.

We should have a few more state wars, in particular a battle for the naming rights to Dakota and Carolina. The loser state has to come up with a new name and their schools have to become affiliated with the new Big East.
Oh and West Virginia should either go by South Ohio or East Kentucky.
This thread is a lot more boring than I thought it would be...better question who would win a free for all war between all the 50 states? I think you would have to go with Texas here right?
It depends where the war takes place, but I might have to go with Alaska. Low population, but pretty much 100% of them use guns on a weekly basis and they could train the bears to ride them.
I think there would be some interesting politics play out. I think I would take new hampshire at like 15-1 as an underdog.
South Dakota has a bunch of nuclear missile silos so they could be an underrated pick.
New York goes down early as their soldiers are limited to 6 round magazines or fewer. And their morale was already pretty low without access to cigarettes or large caffeinated beverages.
Another underrated pick is Hawaii...they have Pearl Harbor there and a bunch of the nuclear subs.
They would also immediately declare themselves the winners because they already control Manhattan, which is the only place in the country worth being in.
Yeah, no chance that place could get invaded or anything.
