The two homemade BLTs I just housed should be on the list.
Im ready for aa 5th of vodica to end my feels.
Max's and Marchone's are my go-to delis, and I'm equidistant (time wise) to Santucci's.
Detroit Hustles Harder
Chorizo sopes at Fiesta Mexicana were excellent as well. Share an order of those with a friend with a Pambazo for each of you and youve got a legit ass meal. Great salsa verde.
Yeah, that place is great. Looks like a dump but has some of the best Mexican around. It's also BYOB.
smoked pork butt sandwich w/ slaw, hushpuppies, fries and creamed spinach (almost the star of the platter) from The Q Shack in Durham. Damn good.

Looks like PBS is doing a sandwich bracket as well.
Preview the vying to be named the best sandwich in the PBS Food Sandwich Madness tournament. See if your favorite grinder made the cut.
on the way down to dc from philly yesteday i stopped at that pioneer beef place...pretty damn good...like a better version of a roy rogers roast beef...the horseradish sauce was excellent
are you supposed to get cheese on them?...i went without so to enjoy the meat more...but then afterwards i was kinda thinking maybe i should have gotten it...is it chedder?
typically no on cheese onion and horseradish
yeah i went with the sauce and onion....both were great
I'm in DC for a couple days. If I can only try one sandwich on this list which one should it be?
Chivito at fast gourmet
i don't have a sandwich for you, but maybe you should scout out SUNdeVICH for us. i went once and got the brat, which was underwhelming, but quality ingredients and i think i just made a bad selection. the "istanbul" pictured looks tasty, as do others. hidden in an alley off 9th st nw.
Legit sandwich, durr. I could do without the olives though. Going to Eden center for a banh mi tonight.
I missed the nomination thread, but Dimitrios in Cambridge, MA makes an amazing gyro.
Marchone's Italian in my hand right now. It might be better than Santucci's after all. I think I like the Santucci's bread a little better.
SO Marchone's meats/veggies are better than Santucci's, but Santucci's has the better bread? Sounds like two local pit beef places in Ellicott City, we like the roll better at one and the meat better at the other.
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
Pork rillettes sandwich at 3 Little Pigs today - so nice.
Also picked up some honey cured bacon for some BLT's for lunch tomorrow.
Nice, been meaning to head down there.
Going to need a side by side but I think the meats are better.
That was the inspiration for the original.

With very different results. gyro destroyed italian, and reuben/pulled pork is tied.
Had one of those french grilled ham and cheese yesterday at La Madeleine. It was ok.
Original document updated up to this post
I'll definitely change as needed and might need to make a few submissions of myself from places on the list. Built-in excuse to get pit beef tomorrow
I wish that was 5 miles closer, I want one so bad but it's such a long lunch to head up there.
