why let him in the garage?
could be a combination of....deep down he wants to turn and get paid and he wants to get caught (as mentioned already) but at the same time he needs to act as if he's normal. so what does that mean? let him the garage and and shoot the shit while getting the jumper cables like a normal person. he also knows the FBI is looking for the exact same car with MD plates and bumper stickers. what better way to secure this guys trust...to act like you're no one and let him see the car.
If he deep down wants to get caught, then why did he slam the trunk shut when the FBI agent walked to the back of the car? And what is not normal about simply saying "sorry man, I don't have any jumper cables." Perhaps, he was trying to throw the guy off by letting him see the car but I wouldn't have done it with the guy still alive in the trunk. Just seems like a big leap to me.
In 1981, no person with a car did not have a set of jumper cables. If he pulled that, and then the FBI guy noted later that he had the car in question, it would be highly suspicious.
I'm sure in real life he would have said I don't have any. Also one of the story lines will prolly be the husband going back and forth about wanting to turn...if he does, it's not going to be on the pilot episode.
It does appear that could be one of the main story lines.

That plus whether Elizabeth actually loves him or just turned it back on to persuade him to stay true to the cause.
I dig it.
I thought it was pretty good but I like spy stuff and the local aspect is cool, too.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
It was 1983, right? My uncle got married in that thing! I have tiny little memories of being there.
I finally got around to watching it today on DVR. Overall I thought pretty solid.
The one thing that caught me as strange was when the FBI guy came over to break into the garage, it looked like it was like 7:30PM out. They showed him walking across the street and the houses in the background all looked liked they still had plenty of lights on. All the street lights were on too.
Great pilot. FX stamp all over it, which is a good thing. I suspect the show will be a lot like the Riches, which I also liked a lot.
No mention so far that there was a BJ scene 30 seconds into the show AND audio of the BJ where she talks about ramming a finger up his asshole.
The Dad obviously has a trigger for protecting women. That should be good. Plus, previews showed Margo Martindale. She is fantastic.
Flat chested or not, Kerri Russell looks great.
She does. Except for the scene right after the BJ when she was getting into her car and she had a sleeveless dress on. Holy horrific backbone and shoulders. super skinny bitches give me the willies.
Is it just me or does the main actor look like John Ritter?
And holy smokes Kerri Russell is a beautiful woman. I thought she was a little older than what the really is (she's only 36) but still....gorgeous.

The opening credits would be a sight to behold on mushrooms. Strong possibility it would lead to a bad trip though.
For a tv show the fight scenes are fantastical.
Can someone explain what happened to that woman's son? I seemed to have missed that part
Keri Russell pricked him with a needle that infected him with some sort of virus that they only had antidote
Ol' Phil don't fuck around
I was kind of left with a, "that was it?" feeling after last night's episode...
Just watched first two episodes. Clearly a Homeland ripoff but I think it has potential to be better.
I feel like I have never liked any characters that the FBI guy has played in past movies/TV, but I really like his character in this.
So far he's a douche. Just like he was to Truman.
Smiley, did Husband Spy put the kid's uncle in a triangle choke?
That shit was brutal. Cross arm-breaker for the tapout.
